HAND-COLORED AQUATINT OF A PAIR OF YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS — she snagging a tiger swallowtail — in a fruiting pawpaw (sheet 600 x 841 mm. = 23 5/8 x 33 7/8 inches; no watermark). A lively image, painted in 1821 or 1822 and published as the second sheet of the first fascicle of Audubon’s Birds of America. Havell in London added aquatint and re-issued it.
