First Edition of this practical, well-organized, and successful illustrated juvenile on surveying, mapping, plane geometry, copying, scaling drawings, etc. An enlarged edition appeared under a new title in 1797 and again in 1808. Mayer also wrote on architecture, commercial arithmetic and the use of logarithms in banking. In good condition (scattered light foxing); engraved armorial bookplate and wax seal of Franz Anton Glonner zu Burghausen (1750-1834), the master mason oversaw brick construction there.
