Tabula Christiane religio[n]is.
[Rome, M. Silber not before 1510].
Small 8vo (132 x 97 mm.). [30]p. Gothic type, one five-line white-line woodcut initial.
Vellum over boards, gilt-lettered spine; paper slipcase.
Issued without title-page or imprint, this covers basic Christian tenets, prayers and feasts, as well as church hierarchy, the angelic orders, heavenly rewards and infernal punishments. The Table’s simple language aided the instruction of the whole household — children and servants alike — and of new clergy. It closes with St. Antoninus of Florence’s poems on the Ten Commandments. Once stabbed (soiled, final leaf remargined).
