Ad I-II: First Editions. These anthologies of popular sayings and practical wisdom crossed into contemporary English literature. Minsheu mined the Recueil for his Pleasant and Delightfull Dialogues and his Speeches, Phrases, and Proverbs (both 1599), and Thos. Crewe translated the Bouquet as Nosegay of Morall Philosophie (1580). In good condition (two dozen leaves trimmed close at the top not affecting legibility).
