            Ad I-II: Only Editions, unrecorded, commissioned by Archbishop of Paris, Christophe de Beaumont (1703-81) as part of his campaign to extirpate Jansenism. In Latin and French, these codify the formulas for Extreme Unction and Communion of the Sick and have the stressed syllables marked to ensure their correct pronunciation by the attending priest. Both works are in good condition (tear in one leaf neatly repaired); signature of English liturgical scholar William Maskell (1814-90), who owned a large library of patristic literature and liturgical books.
