Only Edition. Amusing, lighthearted, even frivolous in his bibliophilic vanities, the author issued nearly all of his writings in tiny editions. Often dedicated to or addressing women, these whimsical verses tell of dogs, the neglected portrait painter, the upheavals of 1792, the life and hazards of gaming, Christmas Eve at the author’s château and bookish matters. I have found two other copies (Paris, Montpellier). In good condition (two leaves with tiny rust holes), a dozen margins uncut, signature of Jules Bobin (1834-1905).
