19th-century brown sheep-backed marbled boards (rubbed), gilt-lettered spine title.

This supports Louis XIII in his struggle for power and independence from his mother, Queen Marie de’ Medici, who led the short-lived Revolt of 1619. I have located only one other example of this printing (Zürich). The top line of text is lost on three leaves. Pierre Berès’ pencil note on the front flyleaf.
